I was very lucky.
If I had fallen differently onto the glass table top, this story would have had a tragic (and very final) ending. Believe me, I am counting my blessings. This was no minor accident.

Sounds like a horrible accident! :-( Glad to hear it was not as bad as it could have been. I wish you a speedy recovery.
And many cheers for Rug :-)

Yes you were very lucky, and remember this please, you have touched a lot of lives. Folks you don't even know have their days brightened because of you. I, for one, look forward to your comics for they make me smile. Thus, my day, week, is better.
Besides, Rug may be looking at it as an excuse to go out and buy a new coffee table. No glass this time please Rug?

I'm sharing this link with everyone. It helps me out and I hope, it helps others out too.

I have tears in my eyes, Mags.
Being so sore and tired all the time, I start to feel my comics are worthless and I should give it all up.
Thank you for reminding me you enjoy and look forward to my little stories and thank you for that link.
The Spoon Theory explains exactly how I feel these days.
As an aside, Rug and I already talking about a new table top. My mom jokingly recommends I get one with foam rubber padding.

When... how did i miss this? I had no idea!
I'm glad you're ok, though!
Well.... mostly ok.

I'm your new biggest fan, and thanks to Mags for telling me about this. I can write, but to be able to write and draw, your awesome.

Table tops are not important. Heck I eat most of my meals at the computer. People are important. YOURE important. Follow your treatment plan and remember nothing can stop a Gnome that never gives up!

Please, Trig, your comics are not "little stories". I don't regularly read comics, but I am always awaiting the next episode of your stories. They mean very much to me.
As for the spoon theory, it is quite useful as an explanatory device. I have ME/CFS and it is rather disabling. I do not have the terrible pains you have described.
We with ME use pacing to handle our lives. Which in a sense is what the spoon theory is about.
To create something that others enjoy is a blessing for both the creator and the reader. But as much as we love your comics, do not pressure yourself when you have a bad day. That's what pacing is all about.

See Trig (Bret), you have touched more people that you realize. You are an important person in our lives. In a way, you have created an outlet for many of us to escape our RL issues; for that, I am personally thankful. Your story telling is excellent, your drawings superb. And I agree with others, don't push yourself. You need to enjoy doing this as much as we enjoy reading it. Your 'little stories' are needed because there are those of us who do not have the imagination that you do.
Finding a few seconds of escapism is important, your stories do this well. You have a gift, a gift that is greatly needed.

Really enjoy your comics and the escapism
